Hello Miami!

The World Cup fever is already starting to build even though the first Miami match isn't until June 15. Bayfront Park has turned into its own little city with the FIFA Fan Festival drawing people down to the waterfront every day this week. On top of that, YUNGBLUD is at Hard Rock Live tonight, the Dolce and Gabbana exhibition at ICA Miami has less than two weeks left, and the PAMM has a sports and culture show running all summer that is worth your time. Let's get into it.

Wed, Jun 3, 6:30pm: Dance Gavin Dance at The Fillmore Miami Beach -- The Sacramento post-hardcore band plays The Fillmore at Jackie Gleason Theater tonight. Thru 8/23: Get in the Game: Sports, Art, Culture at PAMM -- The Perez Art Museum launched this exhibition back in March to coincide with the city's run of major sporting events and it is one of the better shows Miami has put up this year. There is a neighborhood in Miami that most people who live here have never driven through called Buena Vista. It sits just east of the Design District and is full of 1920s Mediterranean Revival bungalows on wide shaded streets that look nothing like the rest of Miami. Some of the original coral rock walls are still standing. At some point in the last few years it became a quiet pocket of coffee shops and small studios, but it still feels like a neighborhood first. Take the side streets off NE 2nd Avenue between 54th and 60th and just drive slowly for ten minutes.
